4A Region III District 20 recap October 1, 2013
Little Cypress-Mauriceville was the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from eighth to fifth in 4A Region III District 20. The Bears vanquished Livingston 28-21 earlier in the week.
Beaumont Central moved up to 290 from 368 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Jaguars climbed the ranks as a result of defeating Ozen 33-9.
Little Cypress-Mauriceville's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Bears feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Caleb Harley has thrown for 228 yards and 3 touchdowns this season, while Dalton Doyle has 14 catches for 240 yards.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Port Neches-Groves takes on Little Cypress-Mauriceville. The Indians are currently in first, while Randy Crouch's team is in fifth.
Port Neches-Groves led 4A Region III District 20 in scoring this week by notching 45 points on Lumberton.
