The Straughn Tigers stacked a sixth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 53-31 margin over Georgiana. Winning may never get old, but Straughn sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Straughn's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Allyx Williamson, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ora Hall, who scored 11 points.
Straughn has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. As for Georgiana, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.
Straughn will head out on the road to square off against W.S. Neal at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Georgiana won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Greenville at 3:00 p.m. on January 13th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Alabama (Greenville is ranked 235th, while Georgiana is ranked 245th).
