The San Tan Foothills Sabercats can finally bid farewell to their nine-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 51-27 margin over Globe. The victory was just what San Tan Foothills needed coming off of a 45-12 loss in their prior contest.
San Tan Foothills found their leader in underclassman Alianna Taylor, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 15 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Cienna Witcher, who scored six points along with six rebounds and three steals.
San Tan Foothills' win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-17. As for Globe, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-16 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. San Tan Foothills will square off against the Gophers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Florence is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home. As for Globe, they will head out on the road to challenge the Knights at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
