Baldwyn hasn't had much luck on the road recently (they'd lost four straight ) but thanks in part to Claire Kelly that streak is no more. The Bearcats walked away with a 3-1 win over the New Site Royals on Monday for which the team can thank Kelly, who had 22 digs and four aces. She is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served four or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Baldwyn had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 17-25, 25-19, 25-20, 25-22.

Despite the defeat, New Site saw an underclassman step up: freshman Roxy Marshall had nine kills, three aces, and two blocks.

Baldwyn's victory bumped their record up to 11-7. As for New Site, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-9.

Coming up, Baldwyn will host Okolona at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for New Site, they will venture away from home to challenge Walnut at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
