Brooklyn Roadenbaugh put in work no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 18 over eight innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March of 2024. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. She is also on a roll when it comes to RBI, as she's now brought in three or more in each of the last four games she's played.
Roadenbaugh wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Lily Thoene, who scored a run while going 2-for-5. Kylie Goostrey was another, scoring a run and stealing a base.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Parma challenged Borah on Saturday. Parma fell just short of Borah by a score of 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Panthers have suffered since May 16, 2024.
Zoey Heffelfinger made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double.
This is the second loss in a row for Parma and nudges their season record down to 7-2. As for Marsing, their record now sits at 4-2.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Marsing has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.5 hits per game. However, it's not like Parma struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 2.7 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Marsing suffered a grim 15-4 defeat to Parma when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Can Marsing avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
