The Franklin Sabers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Racine Horlick 80-27 at home. With that victory, Franklin brought their scoring average up to 50.9 points per game.
Leading Franklin to victory were Brenna Nichols and Rachael Jepsen. Nichols scored 12 points along with six rebounds and five steals, while Jepsen scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and four blocks. Nichols continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Lauren Capstran was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with three steals.
Franklin now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Racine Horlick, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Franklin will square off against Indian Trail at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Indian Trail knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully Franklin likes a good challenge. As for Racine Horlick, they will head out on the road to face off against Racine Case at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
