Patriot is 0-3 against Robinson since January of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Patriot Pioneers will take on the Robinson Rams at 6:00 p.m. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Even though Patriot has not done well against Woodbridge recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Patriot came out on top against Woodbridge by a score of 62-51.
Among those leading the charge was Ella Negron, who scored 27 points along with 5 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Cheyenne Sweeney, who scored 12 points along with 6 assists and 5 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Robinson had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. Everything went their way against George C. Marshall as Robinson made off with a 51-28 win.
Patriot's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Robinson, their win bumped their record up to an identical 1-0.
Patriot ended up a good deal behind Robinson in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, losing 42-26. Can Patriot avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
