The Bucktail Bucks's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight defeat. They were dealt a 78-38 loss at the hands of Muncy. If Bucktail was looking for revenge after losing 69-30 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Noah Confer continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Muncy, dropping a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathan Rogers, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.
Bucktail has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for Muncy, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 14-4.
Bucktail will be playing at home against the Mountaineers at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. South Williamsport is no doubt hoping to put an end to a seven-game streak of away losses. As for Muncy, they will head out on the road to challenge the Red Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Montgomery will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 643rd, while the Indians are ranked 299th).
