North Laurel waltzed into their contest  on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Pineville Mountain Lions by a score of  6-1.
 Tessa Monhollen made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she  struck out 15 batters over  seven innings while giving up just one earned run off   one  hit. Those  15  strikeouts gave  her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-2 with one  home run. That  home run marked the first that  she has  launched this season.

North Laurel pushed their record up to 29-3-1 with the  win, which was their third straight  at home. The  home  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Pineville,  the  defeat snapped their winning streak at three games  and leaves them with a 20-9-1 record.
