Basketball Recap: Scotland Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Scotland Christian Academy played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 85-61 to the Living Water Christian Warriors. The Saints were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 52-29.

Despite the defeat, Scotland Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: freshman Frankie McIntyre posted 24 points in addition to seven boards and five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points McIntyre has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kadin Bryson, who put up eight points.

Living Water Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaiden Cooper out in front who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 14 boards. The dominant performance also gave Cooper a new career-high in assists (three). Dwight Hooker was another key player, going 6 of 11 on his way to 18 points along with five assists and three steals.

This is the second loss in a row for Scotland Christian Academy and nudges their season record down to 2-2. As for Living Water Christian, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-4.

Scotland Christian Academy will look to defend their home court on December 13th against Wilson Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. As for Living Water Christian, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 71-63 loss against Varsity Opponent on the 9th.
