The Lewis County Lions will head out on the road to face off against the Greenup County Musketeers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
Last Wednesday, Lewis County came up short against Rowan County and fell 60-47. Lewis County has struggled against Rowan County recently, as their contest on Wednesday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Greenup County entered their tilt with Cabell Midland with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Greenup County breezed by Cabell Midland on the road to the tune of 66-35. That looming 66-35 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Greenup County yet this season.
Lewis County has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for Greenup County, they now have a winning record of 10-9.
Lewis County didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Greenup County in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, but they still walked away with a 57-53 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lewis County since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
