The Eastern Alamance Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Southern Alamance Patriots at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Eastern Alamance has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 441 points over their last seven matchups.
Eastern Alamance put the finishing touches on their ninth blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 62-33 victory over Cedar Ridge at home.
Eastern Alamance's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Rihanna Gregory, who scored 15 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Gregory has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Nicole Hester, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Southern Alamance entered their tilt with Orange with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Southern Alamance snuck past Orange with a 47-41 victory on Friday.
Southern Alamance can attribute much of their success to Sunny Yarnell, who scored 18 points. Yarnell hasn't dropped below 16 points for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Morgan Isley, who scored ten points.
Eastern Alamance has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a massive bump to their 13-8 record this season. As for Southern Alamance, the victory got them back to even at 11-11.
Keep an eye on the arc in Tuesday's game: Eastern Alamance have been dynamite from deep this season, having made 38.1% of their threes per game. It's a different story for Southern Alamance, though, as they've only made 1.68% of their threes this season. Given Eastern Alamance's sizable advantage in that area, Southern Alamance will need to find a way to close that gap.
Eastern Alamance took their win against Southern Alamance in their previous meeting back in January by a conclusive 66-45. The rematch might be a little tougher for Eastern Alamance since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
