Independence kept a clean sheet against Siegel on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 5-0 margin over the Siegel Stars. The high-scoring effort was just what the Eagles needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

They hit Siegel with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Hayden Smith (2), Ben Birdwell, Emmitt Foretich, and Benjamin Adhami.

The win got Independence back to even at 1-1. As for Siegel, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

After both having extra time off, Independence and Christ Presbyterian Academy will shake off the cobwebs and hit the pitch one another at 6:30 p.m. on March 18th. As for Siegel, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 0-0 draw against Central Magnet on the 4th.
