Springstead won the last time they faced Nature Coast Tech and things went their way on Saturday too. The Eagles walked away with a 2-0 win over the Sharks.

While Springstead might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Nature Coast Tech scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-18.

Despite the defeat, Nature Coast Tech had strong showings from Gabby Larocca, who had 18 digs, and Talia Bateman, who had eight digs and two aces. Larocca has been hot, having posted 16 or more digs the last six times she's played.

Springstead has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season. As for Nature Coast Tech, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-11.

Springstead didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Crystal River on the 4th. As for Nature Coast Tech, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Angeline Academy of Innovation at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
