Baseball Recap: Garber Has No Trouble Against Laker

After only one run in their last match, Garber made sure to put some runs up on the board against Laker on Monday. The Dukes put the hurt on the Lakers with a sharp 13-2 win. The Dukes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by ten runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Anthony Solinski, who fired off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-4. Those home runs were his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Ryan Brey, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Garber lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Garber's victory bumped their record up to 6-2-1. As for Laker, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3-1.

Looking ahead, Garber will welcome Frankenmuth at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Laker, they will head out on the road to take on North Branch at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
