The Denver Christian Thunder will take on the Peak to Peak Pumas at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Denver Christian took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They blew past The Academy 13-3. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Thunder considering their two-run performance the contest before.

Mason Reilly made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2024.
In other batting news, Trey Speir was a standout: he got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. James Lord was another key player, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
Denver Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as The Academy only posted a batting average of .200.
Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last game, Peak to Peak made sure to put some runs up on the board against Kent Denver on Thursday. The Pumas put the hurt on the Sun Devils with a sharp 12-5 win. The victory continues a trend for the Pumas in their matchups with the Sun Devils: they've now won three in a row.
Owen Branscum was incredible, firing off two home runs and four RBI while going 3-for-5. He also scored two runs, which is notable because Peak to Peak is 3-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 3-5 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Dane Hirt, who went 2-for-5 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
Denver Christian's win bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Peak to Peak, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.
Tuesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Denver Christian hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .342. However, it's not like Peak to Peak struggles in that department as they've averaged .330. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
