Dylan Hayhurst Dazzles in Goldwater Win
Starting off the list is Goldwater's Dylan Hayhurst, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Hayhurst rushed for 152 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 7.2 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his seventh straight game with at least 111 rushing yards.
Hayhurst must have Agua Fria's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. Hayhurst rushed for 209 yards and three touchdowns the last time he and the Owls duked it out back in October of 2023.

Roman Thuyns put up the most rushing yards he's had since back in August on Friday. He threw for 175 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 52 yards on only six carries.
On the year, Thuyns has thrown 11 touchdowns while averaging 141.4 passing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he had six passing touchdowns.

Khavontae Paul continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his third-straight game with at least 117 rushing yards. He rushed for 117 yards, and also threw for 80 yards and two touchdowns.
For the year, Paul has thrown 5 touchdowns while averaging 73.4 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 66.13 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 162.25 rushing yards.

Jayden Colter Has Career-Day on Friday
Jayden Colter posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He made three total tackles and defended two passes. He also punched in two rushing touchdowns, which is notable because Apollo is undefeated when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 2-3 otherwise.
Apollo is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. It'll be Battle of the Birds when Hawks challenges Agua Fria at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
