It was fun while it lasted, but Daniel's undefeated season came to an end after seven games on Sunday. They fell just short of the Chapin Eagles by a score of 8-6. The loss put an end to the Lions' undefeated start to the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Daniel fell to 7-1. As for Chapin, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Coming up, Daniel will host Fountain Inn at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Daniel 3.2, Fountain Inn 2.4) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Chapin, they will square off against Mid-Carolina at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
