Caleb Cuaves spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on zero hits and racked up 11 Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Cullen Edwards, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Keegan Johnson, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Meanwhile, Archbishop Ryan earned a 7-3 win over Lansdale Catholic on Monday. That's two games straight that the Raiders have won by exactly four runs.
Victor Corniel made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits (and only one walk). He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Archbishop Ryan is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 5-6 otherwise. Corniel was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, Aiden Goldberg was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI, one run, and one double. That double marked the first that he has hit this season. Ace Davilla was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
Archbishop Ryan hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lansdale Catholic struck out eight times.
Conwell-Egan Catholic's record now sits at 12-3. As for Archbishop Ryan, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.
Archbishop Ryan's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Conwell-Egan Catholic hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .316. It's a different story for Archbishop Ryan, though, as they've only averaged .242. Will they be able to contain Conwell-Egan Catholic's hitters?
Conwell-Egan Catholic came up short against Archbishop Ryan in their previous matchup back in May of 2025, falling 4-1. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
