After soaring to 33  points the game before, Springfield was a bit more limited  in their  matchup  on Friday. They had to suffer through  a    55-10 loss at the hands of the Rochester Rockets. Those  92  rushing yards gave  Kates a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jorey Myren, who rushed for 49 yards and a pair of  touchdowns.
This is the second loss in a row for Springfield and  nudges their season record down to 5-3. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 6-1 Sacred Heart-Griffin (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 86.6% over those games). As for Rochester, the  victory was  the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-1.
 Springfield wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next  game,  a  38-28  loss against Glenwood on the 24th. As for Rochester, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  contest,  a  31-28  win against Sacred Heart-Griffin on the 24th.
