Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Rouse). They claimed a resounding 86-45 victory over the Lockhart Lions. Given the Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 212th, while the Lions are ranked 628th), the result on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Amari Moore was his usual excellent self, going 8 for 18 on his way to 24 points. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points. Ayden Davis was another key player, putting up 14 points.

Rouse smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. They are 4-1 when they hit their own glass that hard.

Rouse's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-8. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.7 points per game. As for Lockhart, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 16-10 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rouse will head out to take on Glenn at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rouse is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.8 points per game this season. As for Lockhart, they will square off against Lehman at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lockhart is facing Lehman at the right time seeing as Lehman is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
