Basketball Game Preview: Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] vs. Medicine Valley Raiders

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Bentley Stubbs, who went 5 for 12 en route to 12 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. That's the most points she has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Wall, who posted eight points and 17 boards.

Meanwhile, Medicine Valley came up short against Cambridge on Monday and fell 37-24. The loss continues a trend for the Raiders in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now lost five in a row.

Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] will have to contain Remmi Stout as she made an impact in Medicine Valley's last game. She dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. That was a full 50% of Medicine Valley's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Oakley Stout was another key player, putting up seven points in addition to 12 boards and four steals.

Even though they lost, Medicine Valley smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in eight consecutive games.

Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood]'s defeat dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Medicine Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 2-14.

Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] has been crashing the rebounds this season, having averaged 31.8 boards per game. However, it's not like Medicine Valley struggles in that department as they've been averaging 34.1 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
