Campo Verde waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They snuck past the Chinle Wildcats with a 46-40 win.

Campo Verde's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kelsey Watts, who posted 14 points in addition to five boards and three steals. Watts is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Bailey Barnes, who put up 12 points.

Campo Verde smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in three consecutive games.

Campo Verde's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Chinle, they moved to 9-1 with that loss, which also ended their nine-game winning streak.

Campo Verde didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 80-21 victory against Desert Mountain on the 18th. As for Chinle, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 72-37 win against Monument Valley on the 17th.
