Basketball Recap: Grandview Makes It Six in a Row on the Road

Grandview had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They blew past the Toppenish Wildcats 80-56. The Greyhounds pushed the score to 61-40 by the end of the third, a deficit the Wildcats had little chance of recovering from.

Toppenish's loss came despite strong showings from Alex Bazan and Jason Sanchez. Bazan posted 16 points, while Sanchez dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. Anthony Cisneros was another key player, putting up five points.

Grandview's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.2 points per game. As for Toppenish, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grandview will face off against Prosser at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Toppenish, they will take on Quincy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
