Baseball Recap: Friends Select Has No Trouble Against Barrack Hebrew Academy

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Shipley, Friends Select was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They blew past the Barrack Hebrew Academy Cougars 7-1. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Cole Semel made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Semel wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jayce Fairfax, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Bryson Evans also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Friends Select's record is now 4-2. As for Barrack Hebrew Academy, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Coming up, Friends Select is headed away from home for the first time to face off against Westtown at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Friends Select's pitchers better be ready for this one: Westtown has averaged an impressive 9.2 runs per game this season. Barrack Hebrew Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
