Miller School of Albemarle extended their postseason success on Friday against Hargrave Military Academy. They put the hurt on the Hargrave Military Academy Tigers with a sharp 71-48 victory. The Mavericks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 matches by 22 points or more this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Miller School of Albemarle to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jaylen Dyer, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds. That's the most boards Dyer has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Crotty, who went 5-for-10 on his way to 15 points along with five assists and three steals.
The win made it two in a row for Miller School of Albemarle and bumps their season record up to 19-11. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 26.5 points. As for Hargrave Military Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 24-18.
Miller School of Albemarle wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 40-35 victory against Peninsula Catholic on the 1st. Hargrave Military Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
