Central York is 8-2 against New Oxford since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Colonials at 4:15 p.m. Central York is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.
If Central York beats New Oxford with four runs on Friday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two matches with that exact score. The Panthers beat Warwick on Thursday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 4-1.

Elizabeth Ferrell spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up six Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ellie Lamer, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Alli Raynes, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.
Meanwhile, New Oxford made easy work of Northeastern on Wednesday and carried off a 13-4 victory. The Colonials might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by six runs or more this season.
Miranda Leatherman was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over six innings pitched. Leatherman was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-5 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
In other batting news, Brooklyn Horick was a standout: she went 4-for-5 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Payton Hostetter was another key player, going 3-for-5 with three runs and three RBI.
New Oxford kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
New Oxford has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.1 runs over those games. As for Central York, their victory was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-3.
Friday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Central York hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .370. However, it's not like New Oxford struggles in that department as they've averaged .319. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Central York took their win against New Oxford in their previous meeting on Friday by a conclusive 15-5 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
