Crown Point took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 win over the Bolton Central Eagles. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Panthers also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.
Kaitlin Ross spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on four hits and racked up ten Ks.
On the hitting side, Makenna Munson was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Raegan Thomas, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Bolton Central's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 3-2.
