Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bradford Prep). They strolled past the Valor Preparatory Academy Owls with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 80-64. Given the Bears' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 181st, while the Owls are ranked 518th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Bradford Prep's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Isaiah Poston led the charge by putting up 18 points. The dominant performance gave Poston a new career-high in points. Kaden Bradley was another key player, posting 12 points.

Valor Preparatory Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Bishop Witherspoon, who went 10 of 15 on his way to 27 points along with six boards and three steals. That was a full 42.2% of Valor Preparatory Academy's points, marking the eighth time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Omarion Dawkins, who went 6 of 13 on his way to 16 points and four steals.

Bradford Prep's record is now 6-4. As for Valor Preparatory Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-8.
