The West Noble Chargers will be playing at home against the Mishawaka Marian Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with West Noble sitting on nine straight wins and Mishawaka Marian on three.
Last Friday, West Noble took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 48-7 win over Prairie Heights. The result was nothing new for West Noble, who have now won five matches by 24 points or more so far this season.
Estil Pruitt was his usual excellent self, rushing for 54 yards and four touchdowns on only seven carries. Pruitt is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Drew Yates, who threw for 84 yards and two touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Mishawaka Marian beat South Bend St. Joseph 16-10 on Friday.
West Noble's victory was their fourth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 9-0. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-9 Prairie Heights and 1-8 Wawasee (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 25% over those games). Mishawaka Marian is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season.
West Noble beat Mishawaka Marian 26-14 in their previous matchup back in October of 2022. Will West Noble repeat their success, or does Mishawaka Marian have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
