Dayton have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. On Friday they take on Liberty Christian at 7:00 PM. It might come down to the wire as the MaxPreps rankings project a close match.
Dayton had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. They took their contest against White Swan three weeks ago by a conclusive 38-6 score.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 36 points the game before, Liberty Christian faltered in their matchup last Friday. They found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 6-30 punch to the gut against Columbia last Friday. Liberty Christian were down by 6-30 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Dayton's win lifted them to 1-0 while Liberty Christian's loss dropped them down to 2-2. We'll see if Dayton's success rolls on or if Liberty Christian are able to steal their positive momentum.
