Wakefield Memorial's rock-solid pitchers showed up for the team's fifth consecutive shutout on Sunday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Peabody Veterans Memorial Tanners a 10-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won nine games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Wakefield Memorial is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-5-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Peabody Veterans Memorial, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-6 record this season.
