The Wells Leopards scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. Everything went their way against Lund as Wells made off with a 54-30 win. The win was some much needed relief for Wells as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Lillian Harney continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 22 points and 16 rebounds. That makes it seven consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Wells' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Khloe DelRio, who scored eight points along with seven steals.
The victory got Wells back to even at 7-7. As for Lund, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8.
Wells will head out on the road to take on Jackpot at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Jackpot comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 13 points in their last six games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Lund, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Eureka at 5:30 p.m. Eureka will be looking to extend their current ten-game winning streak.
