Given Ottawa-Glandorf's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 18th, while Shawnee is ranked 110th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the defeat, Shawnee saw an underclassman step up: Beckett Bertke scored 21 points along with seven rebounds. That was a full 51.2% of Shawnee's points, marking the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Tate Bender was another key contributor, scoring five points along with two steals.
Ottawa-Glandorf is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-2 record this season. As for Shawnee, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-6.

As for Shawnee, they will be playing at home against Kenton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Shawnee focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Friday.
