The St. Cloud Bulldogs lost against the Master's Academy Eagles back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. St. Cloud fell 55-47 to Master's Academy. St. Cloud has not had much luck with Master's Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Despite the loss, St. Cloud still got an impressive performance from Alex Springs, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 10 rebounds. Springs scored a full 34% of St. Cloud's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Diomar Ortiz, who scored 9 points.
St. Cloud's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Master's Academy, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.
St. Cloud will be playing in front of their home fans against Freedom at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Freedom will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 509th, while St. Cloud is ranked 153rd). As for Master's Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Lake Howell at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
