The Northgate Flames''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Rochester, falling 42-8. Northgate has struggled against Rochester recently, as their game on Friday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Sonteon Layne threw for 75 yards and a touchdown on only five passes. Darius Fields was his top target, picking up 76 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Northgate now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Rochester, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northgate will take on Frazier at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Rochester, they will head out on the road to face off against South Side at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. South Side is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
