If the Harvest Prep Academy Eagle were riding high off their 65-17 takedown of the Skyview Huskies last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Harvest Prep Academy ended up on the wrong side of a tough 46-23 walloping at the hands of 91st Psalm Christian School on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 65 points in the game before, Harvest Prep Academy couldn't push the score so high this time.
Despite the loss, Harvest Prep Academy still got an impressive performance from Leo Cordova, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and three steals. That was a full 60.9% of Harvest Prep Academy's points, marking the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Harvest Prep Academy bumped their record down to 1-4 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 18.8 points per game. As for 91st Psalm Christian School, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 1-5.
Harvest Prep Academy will take on Academy with Community Partners at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Arizona (Academy with Community Partners is ranked 251st, while Harvest Prep Academy is ranked 270th). As for 91st Psalm Christian School, they will head out on the road to challenge BASIS - Mesa at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully BASIS - Mesa focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 last Thursday.
