After two games on the road, Great Crossing is heading back home. They will take on the Henry Clay Blue Devils at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Great Crossing has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,023 points over their last 14 contests.
In what's become a running theme this season, Great Crossing gave their fans yet another huge victory on Saturday. They really took it to Corbin for the full four quarters, racking up a 75-25 win on the road. With Great Crossing ahead 36-11 at the half, the game was all but over already.
It was another big night for Vince Dawson, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Junius Burrell, who scored 12 points along with five assists and four steals.
Meanwhile, Henry Clay pushed their score all the way to 58 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 64-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of Woodford County. Henry Clay has been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.
Great Crossing's victory bumped their record up to 23-1. As for Henry Clay, their defeat ended a nine-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-4.
Great Crossing was able to grind out a solid win over the Blue Devils in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, winning 62-51. Does Great Crossing have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Blue Devils turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
