The Ribault Trojans will venture away from home to face off against the Andrew Jackson Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Ribault gave up the first runs last Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They put the hurt on Raines with a sharp 10-3 victory. The win continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won three in a row.
Christian Morales made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over four innings pitched. Morales was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base.

In other batting news, Kenny Bibbins and Jaquarious Moore did most of the damage at the plate: Bibbins scored a run and stole Three bases. while going 3-for-3, while Moore scored three runs and stole Three bases. while going 1-for-3. Moore also scored three runs, which is notable because Ribault is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 1-4 otherwise. Jaquan Marion was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Meanwhile, Andrew Jackson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 29th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against Cedar Creek Christian, falling 16-10. One positive for the Tigers, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.
Lamar Stanfield put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing Five bases. while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.
In other batting news, Dashawn Pratt was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring three runs and stealing Three bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Josiah Parker also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Even though they lost, Andrew Jackson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .535. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
The victory got Ribault back to even at 4-4. As for Andrew Jackson, their record now sits at 0-8.
Tuesday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Ribault has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .488. However, it's not like Andrew Jackson struggles in that department as they've averaged .475. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Ribault's way against Andrew Jackson when the teams last played back in February, as Ribault made off with a 21-2 win. Will Ribault repeat their success, or does Andrew Jackson have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
