The Lamar County Bulldogs will head out on the road to take on the Berry Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lamar County is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
Last Monday, Lamar County came up short against the Tigers and fell 54-44.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Berry, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 53-38 loss to the Red Devils on Wednesday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Berry in their matchups with the Red Devils: they've now lost four in a row.
Lamar County has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season. As for Berry, their loss dropped their record down to 4-15.
Lamar County took their win against the Wildcats when the teams last played back in December of 2023 by a conclusive 52-28. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Berry's Rylee Hill, who scored 22 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Now that she's got a second chance to win this matchup, will Lamar County still be able to contain Hill? There's only one way to find out.
