The Billings Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight defeat. They took a 42-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of School of the Ozarks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Billings of the 48-38 defeat they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2023.
Holland Houston was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 20 rebounds for School of the Ozarks. Houston also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Lily Todd, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Billings has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for School of the Ozarks, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 13-4.
Billings will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. As for School of the Ozarks, they will head out on the road to challenge the Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Sheldon focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 33 last Monday.
