With a playoff game on the line, the Orleans Bulldogs rose to the challenge on Friday. They took down the Patriots 47-33. Winning may never get old, but Orleans sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Orleans to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mylie Knight, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. It was the first time this season that Knight scored 15 or more points. Adrian Abel was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with seven steals.
Orleans' victory bumped their record up to 20-3. As for Vincennes Rivet, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-12.
Orleans won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on February 3rd. Barr-Reeve will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 207th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 66th). Vincennes Rivet does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
