Gospel Light Christian suffered their biggest defeat since December 12, 2023 on Monday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 64-43 walloping at the hands of Greater Vision Academy. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Gospel Light Christian of the 43-26 defeat they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2023.
Greater Vision Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Titus Tucker, who scored 18 points along with four steals. Johntez Raspberry was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Gospel Light Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Greater Vision Academy, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 13-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gospel Light Christian won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Triad Baptist Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Triad Baptist Christian Academy has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 610 points over their last eight matchups. As for Greater Vision Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against Lee Park Prep at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Lee Park Prep focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 last Friday.
