The Bishop McDevitt Crusaders are taking a road trip to take on the Roman Catholic Cahillite at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bishop McDevitt knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 points or more in their past 12 contests -- so hopefully Roman Catholic likes a good challenge.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Bishop McDevitt's defense and their three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Creighton Miltsch, Zach Brown, and Jack Dawson, who each picked up one sack apiece.
Meanwhile, Roman Catholic entered their tilt with Springfield on Saturday with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Cougars 48-20. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Cahillite's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked second, while the Cougars are ranked 25th).
Bishop McDevitt better keep an eye on Semaj Beals. He was instrumental in Roman Catholic's win, throwing for 270 yards and five touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes. That's the most passing yards Beals has posted since back in October. Another player making a difference was Ash Roberts, who picked up 115 receiving yards and a pair of scores.
Roman Catholic didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Justus Gaskin, Haamir Lowry, and Eyan Stead picked up one apiece.

Friday's matchup might be decided in the trenches. Bishop McDevitt has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 190.3 rushing yards per game. It's a different story for Roman Catholic, though, as they've been averaging only 92.9 rushing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant running game?
Bishop McDevitt skirted past Roman Catholic 34-31 when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Will the Crusaders repeat their success, or do the Cahillite have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
