The Grant Park Dragons will head out to square off against the Momence Momence Athletics at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Momence took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Grant Park, who comes in off a win.
Grant Park is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Cissna Park on Wednesday as they made off with a 21-1 win. Considering the Dragons have won four matchups by more than seven runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Momence might've scored the first runs last Tuesday, but it was Gardner-South Wilmington who claimed the real prize. The Momence Athletics took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers. The Momence Athletics have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Nick Charbonneau was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Grant Park has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Momence struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.4 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Grant Park suffered a grim 15-5 defeat to Momence in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Dragons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
