The Sycamore War Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They fell just short of Montgomery Central by a score of 45-42. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss Sycamore has suffered yet this season.
Leading Montgomery Central to victory were Christian Fox and Drew Yarbrough. Fox scored 18 points along with five rebounds, while Yarbrough scored 21 points along with five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Yarbrough has scored all season.
Sycamore has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-10 record this season. As for Montgomery Central, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-9.
Sycamore's road trip will continue as they head out to face Creek Wood at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th. Creek Wood has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Montgomery Central, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Fairview at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
