If the Kennedy Eagles were riding high off their 56-36 takedown of Envision Academy last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Kennedy was dealt a 65-29 loss at the hands of Bethel on Monday. Kennedy has struggled against Bethel recently, as their match on Monday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the defeat, Kennedy saw an underclassman step up: Marvin Singleton scored 13 points.
Kennedy's loss dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Bethel, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a massive bump to their 13-7 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kennedy will square off against Swett at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Bethel won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Richmond at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Richmond is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
