Softball Recap: University Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses at Home

University had lost four games at home dating back to last season, but after bumping their record up to 4-10 on Friday that streak is in the rearview. They walked away with a 12-7 win over The Bay School Breakers. Considering the Red Devils' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

As for The Bay School, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. They haven't had much luck with University recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

For The Bay School's part, Audrey Ball was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Ball is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. University will challenge Redwood Christian at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Red Devils' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 9.5 runs per game this season. As for The Bay School, they will square off against Making Waves Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
