 In other batting news,  Mike Taylor was  excellent,  scoring a  run and  stealing two bases while going 1-for-2.  Carson Prout was another key contributor,  going 1-for-3 with two  RBI and a  double.
 Washington Academy's victory bumped their record up to 2-0.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Washington Academy will play host again  on Wednesday to welcome Mount Desert Island, where first pitch is scheduled  at 4:30  p.m. As for Calais, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Narraguagus at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday.
