The Pisgah Dragons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 45-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of Velma Jackson. Pisgah has not had much luck with Velma Jackson recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Among those leading the charge was Cameron Tate, who scored 26 points along with five rebounds and three steals. That's the first time this season that he scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Joel Fleming, who scored seven points along with five rebounds.
Pisgah's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Velma Jackson, their victory bumped their record up to 4-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pisgah will be home for the holidays to greet McLaurin at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully McLaurin focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 last Tuesday. Velma Jackson will be home for the holidays to greet Leake County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Leake County is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
